Hybrid Working Arrangement

Salary Range: £40,000 - £50,000

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to take on a pivotal role within the Avionics Joint Team (AJT), focusing on the design and qualification of modifications to Avionic systems.

This position provides an excellent opportunity to develop extensive knowledge in Typhoon Avionics, engaging with various stakeholders throughout the entire lifecycle of the project. The AJT is responsible for coordinating activities across all sub-systems, playing a significant role in major enhancements for both domestic and international clients. This role also offers the chance to work collaboratively within the Eurofighter consortium, engaging with external partners and customer communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development of Avionics qualification strategies and testing requirements.
  • Evaluate test data to determine adherence to qualification criteria, providing insights on non-compliance issues and possible platform constraints.
  • Work alongside the Safety team to establish essential testing for Safety Critical Function Chains.
  • Oversee and resolve software-related challenges.
  • Deliver prompt responses to urgent customer inquiries regarding in-service queries.
  • Assist in the design qualification of Typhoon Avionics, collaborating closely with the Avionics Safety team.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience with Mission Systems, ideally within the aerospace or military sectors.
  • Understanding of functional testing methodologies at both system and subsystem levels.
  • Familiarity with equipment interface specifications.
  • Capability to manage multiple priorities effectively while adhering to established standards and configuration control.
  • Knowledge of the Typhoon platform is advantageous.
  • Experience in trial data analysis, trial management, and design methodologies/tools (e.g., Statemate, Artisan, Rhapsody, UML, DOORS).

Compensation Package:

  • Base salary between £40,000 - £50,000
  • Comprehensive company pension and benefits package
