Infection Prevention Lead

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Matron to join our team as the Director of IPC Strategy at Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This is a fantastic chance to make a real difference in the lives of patients and staff by leading our infection prevention and control efforts.
About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to take on this key leadership position. As the Director of IPC Strategy, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective infection prevention and control plans across the trust. You will work closely with the Deputy Director of Infection Prevention and other senior leaders to ensure that our services are safe, efficient, and effective.
Main Responsibilities- Develop and implement evidence-based infection control policies and guidelines
- Lead the audit and surveillance of Healthcare Associated infections (HCAI's)
- Set and monitor standards of infection prevention and control
- Provide expert advice and guidance on new builds, remodels, refurbishments, and redesigns
- Work with senior leadership teams to develop managers and team leaders, and support the development of the nursing profession
