Support Young Learners in Phonics Education

We are seeking a skilled and caring Phonics Support Assistant to join our team at Teaching Personnel. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about helping young children develop essential reading and writing skills.

Key Responsibilities

As a Phonics Support Assistant, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Providing targeted support to students who require additional help with phonics skills.
  • Working closely with class teachers to deliver engaging and effective phonics lessons.
  • Monitoring students' progress and adjusting support strategies as needed.
  • Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages students to take risks and learn from their mistakes.
  • Collaborating with teachers and other support staff to ensure consistent and high-quality phonics instruction.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
  • A strong understanding of phonics and early literacy development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards helping children succeed.
  • Relevant qualifications or experience in education, teaching assistance, or early childhood development are highly desirable.
