**Job Title:** Therapeutic Care Specialist

**Location:** Preston & Chorley

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team as a Therapeutic Care Specialist. This role will involve working with young people who have autism, learning disabilities, and challenging behavior.

The successful candidate will be based at a school in Chorley and will work across two specialist ASD schools, providing support to our residential provisions in the local area. As part of the team, you will collaborate to enhance the lives of the young people we serve, both within school settings and across children's homes.

The role requires conducting assessments to identify the needs of our young people, monitoring progress, performing observations, offering sensory recommendations, and providing direct therapeutic interventions to train staff.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify the needs of our young people
  • Develop and implement personalized care plans to support their development
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the lives of the young people we serve
  • Provide training to staff on sensory recommendations and direct therapeutic interventions

**Requirements:

  • Diploma/BSc in Occupational Therapy or equivalent and HCPC registration
  • Minimum 5 years' experience working with young people with Autism & severe learning disabilities
