Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is a leading recruitment agency that specializes in placing professionals in various industries, including insurance. Our client, a high growth insurance business, is seeking a Customer Service Advisor to join their team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Customer Service Advisor to join our client's team. As the first point of contact for all inbound queries, you will be responsible for building customer relationships using empathy and probing techniques. Your key duties will include:

  • Handling inbound calls, first point of contact for policy holders
  • Predominantly a phone-based role (50-60 calls/day)
  • Updating customer information on database (address, phone number etc)
  • Renewals/extensions/policy changes
  • Taking claim information and passing to the correct team to process

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need to have strong written and verbal communication skills, a good working knowledge of MS Office, and the ability to pick up new software. You will also need to be able to stay calm in high pressure situations and have a logical approach. Previous customer service experience (not necessarily in insurance) and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service are essential.

What We Offer

Our client offers a competitive annual salary of £24.5k, working 37.5 hours across 3 days (shifts rotate 7am-8pm, 7.30am-8.30pm, 8am-9pm). This position is 5 days/week in the office.
