Personal Care Assistant for a Young Adult with Physical Disabilities

We are seeking a Personal Care Assistant to support a young adult with physical disabilities at the University of West England. The ideal candidate will have great organisational skills, be respectful of the client's privacy and space, and have a good sense of humour.

The successful candidate will assist with personal care, including dressing, showering, and transferring using equipment such as hoists. They will also support with daily living activities, housekeeping, and domestic duties, as well as help with commuting to and from university.

Our client is a down-to-earth young woman who has cerebral palsy, sciatic nerve injury, and impaired sight. She also suffers from epilepsy, which is well managed, as well as Hereditary spastic paraplegia, which may cause muscle spasms. She doesn't let this stop her from living her best life and has an amazing sense of humour.

The successful candidate will be responsible for engaging in social activities and outings with our client, as well as helping her to live the best life possible at university. They will also be required to undergo full training in our client's particular needs.
