Support Worker for Young Adults in Bristol - £12/hr - Bristol
We are seeking a Support Worker to join our team and work with a young adult with combined vision and auditory impairments. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, fun, and inclusive, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
The role involves empowering the young person to increase their influence, access their community, and transition to adulthood by building confidence, social communication, and independence skills.
Key Responsibilities:- Facilitating social communication skills in peer groups and new situations.
- Accessing information and building independence skills such as cooking and using public transport.
The role requires no personal care and involves fun days out and planned activities, including attending the gym and football club.
Person Specification:We are looking for a flexible and outgoing worker who is an excellent communicator and facilitator. Relevant training is provided, and a driver is required.
Hours and Pay:15 hours term time and 25 hours non-term time, paid at £12.00 per hour including holiday pay.
