European Director of Human Capital Operations

Oliver Wyman, a global leader in management consulting, is seeking a seasoned professional to fill the role of Director of Human Capital Operations for our European offices. This position requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in human capital operations, particularly in employee relations.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a highly skilled individual to oversee all human capital operations activities across the European region. The successful candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for European Region Heads, COO, and Director of Talent on matters involving human capital operations.
This is a challenging and important leadership position within the human capital operations team, requiring hands-on oversight, collaboration with various stakeholders, and a keen focus on aligning human capital initiatives with organizational goals.
Responsibilities
- Provide proactive leadership and strategic thinking to drive human capital operations across the European region.
- Collaborate with the Director of Talent in Europe to ensure alignment of human capital initiatives with organizational goals.
- Develop and implement effective human capital strategies to support business objectives.
- Manage a team of human capital professionals to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with European Region Heads, COO, and Director of Talent.
Requirements
- At least 15 years of UK & European HR Generalist experience.
- Strong Employee Relations experience is essential.
- 10 years of leadership/management experience, including leading projects and HR teams, advising business leaders on human capital matters, and managing a team.
- Experience gained from the management consulting, professional services, or financial services sectors.
- Solid knowledge of HR operational activities, including benefits, payroll, tax, and employment law.
- A CIPD qualification and/or a Law degree (with a focus on employment law) is preferred.
