About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiographer to join our Paediatric Imaging team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust (279). As a Senior Paediatric Radiographer, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality imaging services to our young patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert imaging services using a range of radiography equipment, including plain film and fluoroscopy.
  • Develop and maintain excellent knowledge of paediatric pathology and clinical presentation to ensure accurate imaging examinations.
  • Liaise with Paediatric Consultant Radiologists and Advanced Practitioners to ensure seamless clinical input.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure a safe and effective working environment.
  • Ensure adherence to Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposure) Regulations (IR(ME)R) 2017 and Ionising Radiation Regulations (IRR) 2017, MRHA MRI safety guidelines and the Trust's policies, protocols and guidelines.
  • Effectively use hospital software, including CRIS, PACS, and Bamboo, to maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Participate in the 24/7 rota, including core hours and additional shifts at the Royal Sussex County Hospital.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience working as a Radiographer.
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
  • HCPC registration.
  • Desirable: experience in the NHS and working with paediatrics.
  • Essential: evidence of having undertaken own development to improve understanding of equalities issues and evidence of having championed diversity in previous roles.
