About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Radiographer to join our Paediatric Imaging team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. As a Senior Paediatric Radiographer, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality imaging services to our young patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert imaging services to paediatric patients, including plain film, fluoroscopy, and ultrasound examinations.
  • Develop and maintain excellent knowledge of paediatric pathology and clinical presentation to ensure accurate imaging examinations.
  • Liaise with Paediatric Consultant Radiologists and Advanced Practitioners to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure a safe and effective working environment.
  • Ensure adherence to Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposure) Regulations (IR(ME)R) 2017 and Ionising Radiation Regulations (IRR) 2017, MRHA MRI safety guidelines, and Trust policies.
  • Effectively use hospital software, including CRIS, PACS, and Bamboo, to maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Participate in the 24/7 rota, including core hours and additional shifts at the Royal Sussex County Hospital.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience working as a Radiographer, with a strong background in paediatric imaging.
  • HCPC registration and evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, young people, and their families.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
