The successful candidate will provide administrative support to our busy Procurement Department, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations and exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate service desk activities, including booking travel, ordering stationery and catering supplies, and general purchasing of goods and services.
- Maintain strong communication with internal and external customers, gathering pricing and quotations, and preparing options for goods and services.
- Raise purchase orders in a timely manner and liaise with vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Deal with service desk requests from internal customers, keeping them fully updated with the status and progress of their orders, and resolve issues and queries.
- Process invoices in a timely and accurate manner and deal with any related queries.
- Perform general administrative tasks, including database administration and familiarization with in-house purchasing systems.
- Excellent organization and time management skills.
- Ability to work unsupervised or as part of a wider team.
- Attention to detail and basic problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good attention to detail.
- Educated to GSCE level, including Maths and English.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
This is a temporary role, initially for 3 months, with the possibility of becoming long-term. The hourly rate is £12.55. The Recruitment Co. is an equal opportunities employer.
