Job Requirements:

We are seeking a highly skilled Actuary to join our team as a Senior Actuarial Analyst. The successful candidate will have experience in calculating statutory reserves and capital for the UK Annuities Business.

Responsibilities:

  • Calculate, analyse and explain Solvency II / IFRS17 technical reserves and capital on both a UK and Canadian basis
  • Embed new bulk annuity schemes (pensioners and deferred) within BAU reporting
  • Support the calculation of reinsurance accounts
  • Maintain and develop valuation processes and models
  • Contribute to Canadian and UK profit and loss assessment for the UK Annuities business
  • Produce/Support experience analyses and set assumptions and impacts within a valuation basis

Requirements:

  • Qualified actuary with some relevant pre/post-qualification experience
  • Strong technical and analytical skills
  • Understanding of the need for a robust control framework
  • A team player able to work under pressure and to deliver to tight timescales
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, including an ability to communicate technical content to a wide range of stakeholders
  • Experience of financial modelling software
  • Knowledge of annuities markets and reinsurance. Knowledge and experience of immediate and deferred bulk annuities highly desirable but not essential

Salary:£90,000 - £120,000 per annum
