About the Role

Pension Insurance Corporation is seeking a Business Partnering Actuary to join its Capital Insight & Actuarial department. As a key member of the team, you will collaborate with various departments to drive improvements in systems, processes, and technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough analysis of Matching Adjustment eligibility for new schemes and support deal teams in structuring deals to ensure compliance.
  • Review and challenge new deal pricing, including pricing of new or unusual features.
  • Prepare assessments of solvency implications of new deals and communicate results to senior management.
  • Ensure timely sharing of information on prospective new BPA deals with other teams within PIC.
  • Understand cashflow matching of the MA Fund and contribute to ongoing monitoring of PIC's MA Fund against PIC's MA Approach Document and regulatory requirements.
  • Support analysis of new trades and transfers to/from the MA fund and other hedging and risk management activities.
  • Support SST and other ad hoc business projects as required.
  • Take ownership of your own learning and development in both technical and non-technical skills of Business Partnering.
  • Stay informed of industry trends, market developments, regulatory changes, and best practices related to the BPA market.
Requirements
  • Recently qualified actuary with the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries or similar.
  • Experience working in pensions or life insurance.
