Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist nursing care to patients with Upper Gastrointestinal (GI) cancer through personalized care and support planning.
This role requires a practising health care professional with a current registration, who can interact with patients over the delivery and provision of their care, making complex clinical judgements as needed.
In this position, you will lead the Upper Gastrointestinal Cancer Nursing team at Harrogate District Hospital and develop strong links with the tertiary service to ensure streamlined patient pathways.
You will undertake nurse-led clinics to support patients at all stages in their pathway, ensuring timely access to treatment and meeting their supportive care needs.
Additionally, you will have the opportunity to access further training and education appropriate to the role, which is actively encouraged and supported.
Main Duties- Provide specialist nursing care to patients with Upper GI cancer through personalized care and support planning.
- Provide professional leadership and management to the upper GI Specialist Nursing team, working closely with the tertiary centre.
- Be a practising health care professional with a current registration.

- Relevant experience of working in Upper GI Cancer
- Evidence of good communication skills
- Leadership and management experience
