We are seeking an ambitious and motivated Cancer Pathway Lead to join our talented team at Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to drive high-performance and improve health outcomes in our Cancer Services department.

About the Role

The successful candidate will lead the development and implementation of cancer tracking systems, ensuring timely and accurate data collection and analysis. They will also provide line management and leadership to the Cancer Patient Pathway Co-ordinators, driving high-performance against national and local cancer targets.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Strategic Planning: The candidate will work closely with clinicians and other stakeholders to develop and implement effective strategic plans, aligned with national cancer targets and the NHS Long-Term Plan.
  2. Talent Management: The successful candidate will identify and develop talent within the team, ensuring that staff have the skills and knowledge required to deliver high-quality services.
  3. Service Improvement: The candidate will work collaboratively with the team to identify areas for service improvement, implementing changes that enhance patient care and experience.

Requirements

  • Leadership Experience: The successful candidate will have experience in leadership and management, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Excellent Analytical Skills: The candidate will possess excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.

Salary and Benefits

  • Base Salary: £45,000 - £60,000: We offer a competitive salary package, dependent on experience.
