About the Role
As a highly skilled and experienced nurse, you will lead the Upper Gastrointestinal Cancer Nursing team at Harrogate District Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to provide professional and clinical leadership, ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care and support.

We are seeking a candidate with strong communication skills, who can develop effective relationships with patients, colleagues, and external partners. You will be responsible for implementing personalised care and support plans, ensuring timely access to treatment and meeting the complex needs of patients with Upper GI cancer.

The post holder will be part of the local diagnostic multidisciplinary team and collaborate closely with the tertiary centre to ensure seamless patient pathways. Access to further training and education is actively encouraged and supported.

This role requires a registered general nurse with relevant experience in Upper GI Cancer. Leadership and management experience is essential, as well as good communication skills. Advanced Communication Skills Training and Level 2 Psychology Training are desirable.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide specialist nursing care to patients with Upper Gastrointestinal (GI) cancer through personalised care and support planning.
  2. Provide professional leadership and management to the upper GI Specialist Nursing team, working closely with the tertiary centre.
Estimated Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
