We are a leading healthcare organization in Harrogate and North Yorkshire, committed to delivering exceptional patient care and improving health outcomes. Our Cancer Services team is seeking an experienced Cancer Pathway Lead to join our dynamic team.

About the Job

The successful candidate will lead the development and implementation of cancer tracking systems, ensuring timely and accurate data collection and analysis. They will also provide line management and leadership to the Cancer Patient Pathway Co-ordinators, driving high-performance against national and local cancer targets.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Developing Cancer Strategies: The candidate will work closely with clinicians and other stakeholders to develop and implement effective cancer strategies, aligned with national cancer targets and the NHS Long-Term Plan.
  2. Coaching and Mentoring: The successful candidate will provide coaching and mentoring to the Cancer Patient Pathway Co-ordinators, supporting their professional development and performance management.
  3. Collaboration and Partnership: The candidate will build strong relationships with internal and external partners, ensuring seamless collaboration and partnership working to achieve shared goals.

Requirements

  • Leadership Experience: The successful candidate will have experience in leadership and management, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: The candidate will possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information effectively to staff, patients, and external partners.

Salary and Benefits

  • Base Salary: £45,000 - £60,000: We offer a competitive salary package, dependent on experience.
