Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Graysons Restaurants. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in the provision of meals for our main catering service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with the Head Chef to ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen and the delivery of high-quality meals.
  • Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals, including menu planning and food preparation.
  • Supervise and train junior kitchen staff to ensure they are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Monitor and control kitchen inventory, including food and equipment, to ensure optimal usage and minimize waste.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as front-of-house and events, to ensure seamless service delivery.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train junior staff.
  • Excellent culinary skills, with a focus on quality, presentation, and flavor.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a high level of productivity in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
