Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Superior Healthcare. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to a child with complex needs.

About the Role:

This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity to work with a child who requires ongoing support with personal care, PEG feeding, suctioning, ventilation, epilepsy, and tracheostomy care. You will work closely with the child and our experienced team to ensure their physical and emotional needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care and support to the child, including assistance with daily living activities, medication management, and mobility.
  • Work collaboratively with the child's healthcare team to develop and implement care plans that meet their individual needs.
  • Assist with PEG feeding, suctioning, ventilation, epilepsy, and tracheostomy care, as required.
  • Support the child with their daily routine, including meal times, sleep schedules, and leisure activities.
  • Communicate effectively with the child, their family, and our team to ensure seamless care and support.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with complex needs, preferably in a care or support setting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to provide high-quality care and support.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with the child, their family, and our team.
  • UK driving license and access to a vehicle, as regular travel may be required.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including night shifts, to meet the child's needs.
