Accounting and Business Development Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced accounting professional to drive business growth and development.
About the Role- Contribute to the development of business strategies, identifying new opportunities and driving revenue growth.
- Client Onboarding: Collaborate with the virtual finance office team to ensure smooth onboarding of new clients, introducing best practices and identifying opportunities to optimise processes with technology.
- Review & Approve Work: Oversee bookkeeping, VAT returns, and associated work prepared by staff, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining high-quality standards.
- Management Accounts: Prepare and present management accounts for clients, providing actionable insights and recommendations for business improvement.
- Client Communication: Respond to client inquiries and offer tailored support, building long-term relationships and driving client satisfaction.
- Portfolio Development: Identify new business opportunities and expand client portfolios, driving revenue growth and business development.
- Team Leadership: Contribute to team discussions and decision-making, providing expertise and guidance where needed.
- Process Improvements: Collaborate with the virtual finance office team to identify and implement process improvements, enhancing operational efficiency and reducing costs.
- Performance Monitoring: Assist with monitoring KPIs and providing feedback on staff performance, driving continuous improvement and excellence.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in practice, with either a professional qualification or equivalent experience, preferably in a virtual finance office setting.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients and colleagues.
- A competitive starting salary of £48,000 per annum, based on location and experience, plus quarterly bonus scheme.
