Senior Financial Analyst

Adecco UK is seeking a skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our team in a Commercial Finance Analyst role. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting IT portfolio investments and partnering with Delivery Managers to achieve our ambition.
Key Responsibilities:- Understand and communicate project financial processes within IT, working closely with Portfolio and Programme Managers, and corporate finance teams.
- Support and guide Project Managers and Solution Engineering Managers to ensure good financial management practices are adhered to.
- Work with the Portfolio Finance Lead to ensure guidance on committed and transactional spend is followed by projects.
- Support and guide Project Forecasts, both within year and future financial years, providing an overview of budgets and forecasts.
- Collaborate with Business Consultants to determine future pipeline projects and potential financial implications.
- Coach PMs in best accountancy practice.
- Act as point of contact for financial queries from portfolio stakeholders.
- Support and champion new finance tools within IT.
- Review portfolio submissions to ensure good finance practices are being followed.
- Support creation of investment papers and provide financial challenge.
- Understand and challenge project finance figures, ensuring baseline cost forecast methodology consistency between projects.
- Ensure supporting month-end narratives for key financial metrics are captured by project management.
- Ensure finance holding account figures are reconciled and cleared down on a regular basis.
- Direct experience of a broad range of finance processes and best practices.
- Assist in creating, standardising, and maintaining financial processes.
- Experience of IT project/product delivery financial environments.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills to explain complex financial narratives effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Commercial focus - understanding of cost and value drivers of IT and the Business.
- Customer focus - ability to interact with IT Project Management community to benefit the end-to-end result.
- Ability to build successful working relationships and partnerships with IT Programme Managers, Project Managers, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to build successful working relationships and partnerships with finance teams.
- Attention to detail - ensuring all financial figures are sound before being shared.
