The Role

We're recruiting an experienced Commis Chef to join our team on a part-time basis. As a key member of our kitchen team, you'll play a vital role in preparing and serving high-quality food to our clients and customers.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Prepare delicious, high-quality food that delights our clients and customers
  • Oversee and implement menu changes to meet evolving tastes and preferences
  • Identify opportunities to improve our food services and suggest innovative solutions
  • Listen to customer feedback and act upon it to consistently improve our services
  • Support with the creation of new menus and creative food concepts
  • Maintain a positive brand image and represent Compass UK & Ireland at all times
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure our kitchens are well-stocked and efficient
  • Oversee kitchen cleaning responsibilities to maintain hygiene standards
  • Comply with Food Handling, Hygiene, and Health and Safety regulations
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A passion for great-tasting food and exceptional customer service
  • A City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent qualification
  • Experience supervising a team and managing kitchen operations
  • Experience working in a similar Chef role and knowledge of food safety protocols
  • A flexible approach to working and willingness to adapt to changing circumstances
