**The Role**

We are looking to recruit a Senior Health Care Support Worker to join the Specialist Childrens Health Service Unit at University Hospital Wishaw

The post holder will also ensure a person centred approach to care delivery which is safe and effective to ensure and maintain quality strategy.

Band 3 / Permanent Post / Part time / 30 hours

**What we'll need you to bring**
- SVQ III in healthcare, or working towards, or equivalent experience working within a caring environment/role.
- Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary/agency team.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to carry out assigned patient care tasks effectively within a busy environment.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- To actively participate in the Personal Development Plan process to fulfil the requirements of continuing professional development.
- Working knowledge of basic information technology

**It would be great if you also have**:

- Experience working in a child care environment
- Experience working with children who have complex health care needs
- Experience working with individuals with complex health care concerns
- Expert clinical practice
- Knowledge of locality and national policy within the speciality
- Evidence of both personal and team research and audit
- Analytical and judgement skills
- Skilled in establishing and maintaining relationships
