Senior Midwifery Clinical Governance Lead

About the Role:
We are seeking an exceptional Senior Midwifery Clinical Governance Lead to join our Maternity & Neonates Team at University Hospital Wishaw. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring a safe and high-quality service delivery, with a focus on clinical governance and quality strategy.
The successful candidate will provide midwifery leadership and management of the maternity governance and quality team, comprising risk, quality improvement, education, and digital midwifery/neonatal teams. You will work closely with the service triumvirate to ensure the highest standards of clinical governance are upheld, leading quality initiatives across perinatal services, and providing expert advice on risk management issues.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of clinical governance strategies to drive excellence in patient care
- Collaborate with senior midwives and midwifery specialists to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery
- Provide guidance and support to staff members on clinical governance and quality practices
- Contribute to the development of policies, procedures, and guidelines related to clinical governance and quality assurance
Requirements:
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must have a Registered Nurse/Midwife qualification, valid NMC registration, and a Master's degree or equivalent. You should possess excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with experience in managing teams, developing policies, and promoting quality improvements. A strong understanding of NHS Scotland's Leadership Qualities framework is essential.
What We Offer:
NHS Lanarkshire offers a competitive salary range of £56,365 - £85,443 (pro-rata) per annum, plus additional benefits including 27 days annual leave, 8 public holidays, and membership of the NHS Pension Scheme.
