Care Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Support Specialist to join our team in Maryport, Cumbria. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting people with learning disabilities and/or autism to live fulfilling lives within their own homes and in the local community.
The successful candidate will work in our brand-new CQC registered service, providing regulated care, including administration of medication, personal care, and support with daily living tasks. You will help customers develop their independence, achieve their goals, and aspirations, and make a significant difference in their lives.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our brilliant customers, Registered Manager Emma, and Senior Occupational Therapist Esther. We value diversity and promote inclusivity, making Home Group a great place to work where everyone belongs.
What You'll Do- Provide regulated care, including medication administration and personal care.
- Support customers with daily living tasks, such as meal preparation, shopping, budgeting, and community activities.
- Assist customers with attending appointments, participating in hobbies, and engaging in education or employment.
- Conduct risk assessments, support planning, goal setting, and regular reviews.
- A Level 2 Health and Social Care Certificate or willingness to work towards it.
- Experience in caring for others, preferably in a similar role or caring for family members/children.
- Flexible approach, listening to customers' needs, and adapting to individual requirements.
- Ability to use technology to update support plans, complete online learning, and collaborate with colleagues.
- Estimated salary: £23,464 per year (plus benefits).
