Rehabilitation Specialist

North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated and caring individual to join our team as a Rehabilitation Specialist. The successful candidate will be based in Maryport Community Rehabilitation team but will also be expected to cover across the Cockermouth and Maryport ICC when needed.
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about rehabilitation with older people, providing support to individuals who have long-term needs. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication skills and a flexible approach to meet the needs of a 7-day service.
The estimated salary for this role is £21,700-£28,200 per annum, depending on experience. The key responsibilities of this role include implementing rehabilitation plans for patients in the community and other settings, observing patient conditions, and providing direct care with a rehabilitation and therapy focus. This may include supporting patients with personal hygiene and activities of daily living. The ability to work over 7 days is a requirement of the post, with hours of work on a rota covering a shift pattern between 8 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.

Key Requirements
- QCF level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification in rehabilitation
- Ability to use initiative and maintain confidentiality
- Basic IT skills and good time management skills
- Confidence to work as part of a team and alone in the community
- Genuine desire to work with older people and support equality and value diversity
- Prepared to undertake QCF level 3 in Health, Social, Diagnostic and Therapeutic Support within 3 years of appointment
