About the Role
The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHSFT is seeking an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Outpatient Department Manager. This exciting opportunity will involve managing outpatient services at multiple sites, including CCC Liverpool, CCC Aintree, and the Clinical Diagnostic Centre at Paddington.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead a team of healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care and services.
- Develop and implement effective strategies for service planning and coordination.
- Maintain safe and effective staffing levels, ensuring an appropriate skill mix.
- Contribute to policy and service development, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Ensure safe and effective practice, adhering to regulatory requirements.
- Recruit, retain, and develop staff, promoting a positive work environment.
- Facilitate multi-professional working and patient-centered care.

Requirements
- 1st level Registered Nurse (Adult)
- First level degree in a related subject
- Post-basic qualification in cancer/palliative care or a relevant subject
- Evidence of continued professional development
- Advanced Communications Skills Training or willingness to work towards it
Desirable Qualifications
- Recognized teaching/mentorship qualification
- Management Qualification
Knowledge and Experience
- Knowledge of cancer treatment modalities and services
- Role of charities and partnership working in the NHS
- NHS structures and functions
- Relevant post-registration experience at Band 6 or above in cancer or a related specialty
- Experience of teaching, leadership, and management
- Multi-professional working and patient-centered care
