Responsibilities

As a Charge Nurse, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting your care team and promoting a positive working environment
  • Working collaboratively with the Clinical Team Leader and Clinical Nurse Specialist to achieve shared goals
  • Developing and implementing effective care plans that meet the needs of our patients
  • Prioritizing tasks and managing your workload effectively

You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records, adhering to health and safety protocols, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives within the trust.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • A nursing degree or equivalent qualification
  • A minimum of two years' post-basic experience, including one year as a Senior Staff Nurse
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • The ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritize tasks
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and improving outcomes
