About the Role


We are seeking an experienced Senior Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team in the Short Term Assessment, Rehabilitation and Reablement Service (STARRS). As a Band 6 leader, you will play a crucial role in developing specialist skills within occupational therapy in intermediate care and supervising junior staff and students.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Take a senior role in providing high-quality therapy and nursing services within STARRS, assisting the clinical manager with strategic planning.
  • Manage a team of staff through day-to-day line management, supervision, and appraisal, ensuring best practice and patient care.
  • Lead on clinical audit and research within the specialist area.
  • Support the wider operations of STARRS, aligning with managerial structure and planning.
  • Provide evidence-based care to patients in their own homes, working with agreed management care plans and protocols.

Requirements:

  • NHS or acute community setting experience.
  • Relevant degree with professional registration.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
