Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our community rehabilitation team in Central London. As an Occupational Therapist - Community Rehabilitation Specialist, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality occupational therapy services to patients across eleven London boroughs and Hertfordshire.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist to contribute to the development of our community rehabilitation services. You will work closely with senior occupational therapists and other multidisciplinary team members to plan, implement, and evaluate interventions for groups or individuals.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering occupational therapy assessments and interventions to patients within the rehabilitation unit, prioritizing clinical needs to provide an effective service.
  • Undertaking occupational therapy assessments for a designated caseload, addressing occupational performance, impairments identified, and enabling clients in areas of self-care, productivity, and leisure.
  • Independently carrying out rehabilitation programmes aimed at improving or maintaining independence.
  • Working with clients and other professionals to identify occupational therapy goals as part of the overall care plan.

Person Specification

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council

Prior experience in a clinical setting, particularly in community rehabilitation, is highly desirable. In addition, relevant postgraduate training and membership of professional organizations such as the Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT) are advantageous.
