At Interaction Recruitment in Portsmouth, we are seeking a talented Business Development Sales Representative to join our team.

About the Role

This exciting opportunity will see you working with existing customers to increase sales of our products and services. You will be responsible for obtaining, creating, and up-selling orders, as well as adding value to the customer's buying experience through proactive selling techniques.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain orders through email and telephone calls, verifying and entering items, transferring orders to fulfilment, explaining stock-outs and expected delivery dates.
  • Own, qualify, and develop opportunities.
  • Prepare, generate, and follow up on verbal or written quotations to secure orders or determine reasons for loss of order.
  • Review open customer order reports and act on open items, including those at risk of missing promised delivery dates.
  • Maintain distribution system backorder reports, associated customer expediting reports, and notices, as well as customer notifications.
  • Report industry trends, competitive pricing, and customer feedback to management.
Requirements
  • Requires knowledge and experience in sales and sales administration.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and ability to perform basic computer skills.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Working in a team environment.
  • Communicating clearly, both verbally and in writing.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to prospect and market concepts to existing and potentially new accounts.
  • Taking action and solving a range of problems that may be difficult but not typically complex.
  • Identifying and defining problems and possible solutions independently; choosing among existing solutions.
  • Ability to work independently with general supervision.
