About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Centre Hardware Technology Lead and Data Analyst to join our team at ExcelRedstone. As a key member of our Data Centre Infrastructure Support Services team, you will be responsible for supporting the engineering teams during planning, design, development, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting processes at multiple client Data Centres.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the engineering teams in planning, design, development, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting processes at multiple client Data Centres.
  • Work with the Customer Site and Technology Leads to improve operational systems, processes, and procedures in support of enhanced service deliverables and management reporting.
  • Collaborate with peer groups to identify and highlight best practices in support through continuous assessment, and elevate process and product recommendations to senior managers.
  • Provide a stable and resilient operating environment, maximizing the potential of all available resources, expanding the capabilities and productivity of technical staff, and continuing to improve upon past performance.
  • Proactively identify gaps in process and offer ideas for improvement in areas that require remediation or enhancement.
Requirements
  • Experience in Data Centre Hardware IMACD.
  • Experience in Database and software programming languages such as Python.
  • Experience in Data Analytics and reporting.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Previous experience in Programme & Project Management.
  • Experience working in banking IT environment.
  • Experience in a Data Centre Moves Adds and Changes environment (IT Hardware deployment).
  • Advanced experience in structured cabling installation, fault finding, and testing with Fluke test equipment.
  • Thorough knowledge of structured cabling standards and cable types (FTP, UTP & Optical Fibre).
  • Excellent MS Office Suite experience (Outlook, Excel, Word etc).
  • Self-starter, organized, detailed-oriented, and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Prioritization skills and multitasking ability.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Expert knowledge of Asset Management Systems.
  • Expert knowledge of Ticketing Systems.
  • Expert understanding of complex change management and service delivery processes.
  • Ability to mentor and train new starters on all systems, processes, and procedures.
  • Ability to approve/sign off training modules.
  • Ability to lead/supervise special projects from design through to handover.
  • Ability to co-author and take technical lead on processes and procedural documentation.
  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience.
  • Strong oral and written communications.
  • Advanced knowledge of performance metrics and reporting, technical problem resolution, and risk management.
  • Experience gathering and data analysis to effect meaningful change in areas that need improvement.
  • Advanced knowledge of architecture, design, and business processes.
  • Exceptional coaching abilities that foster top talent and promote a culture of excellence.
  • Ability to communicate and drive the strategic direction of the group, delivering technology solutions that meet internal and external needs.
  • Expertise prioritizing customer experience, reviewing feedback, hosting customer forums, and focus groups to proactively address the needs of the customer.
  • Effectively collaborate with peer groups to identify and highlight best practices in support through continuous assessment, and elevate process and product recommendations to senior managers.
  • Provide a stable and resilient operating environment, maximizing the potential of all available resources, expanding the capabilities and productivity of technical staff, and continuing to improve upon past performance.

  • Expertise in core technologies related to Data Centres.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-class hardware deployments.
  • Strong technical knowledge of physical infrastructure (compute, network, storage).
  • Understanding of network concepts (switching, routing, perimeter security).
  • Experienced Service Delivery professional.
  • Support in a large-scale and diverse environment of incident management, escalation procedures, and project delivery disciplines.
  • Supervisory of people and management skills.
  • Experience of managing 3rd parties and 3rd party delivered services.
  • Satisfactory Skills Matrix score.
  • Be an ambassador for ExcelRedstone Managed Services, working across the business to provide effective communication and build relationships with other teams to ensure effective dialogue and cooperation between departments.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous training/qualifications within the Information Technology field.
  • BICSI Technician Training.
  • Certified Data Centre Technician Professional (CDCTP).
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate – Data Center (CCNA DCICN DCICT).
  • Certified Data Centre Management Professional (CDCMP).
  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library – Foundation & Expert (ITIL).
