Diagnostic Pathology Specialist: Histology

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Pathology Specialist to join our team at Ampath Laboratories. As a Diagnostic Pathology Specialist, you will be responsible for providing a diagnostic anatomical pathology / histopathology consultative service to referring clinicians.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Advise clients on life-threatening results
  2. Continuous education for pathology laboratories
  3. Maintain client relations to promote the image of Ampath
  4. Marketing
  5. Oversee the standard of work performed, overall operation, and administration in the laboratory
  6. Promotion of professional standards and expertise
  7. Provision of continuous pathology/clinical laboratory service: consultation with doctors
  8. Control and monitoring of results
  9. Result verification
  10. Reporting
  11. Participation in peer group
  12. Sign-out all abnormal results according to criteria

Requirements:

FC Path(SA), HPCSA Registration in Relevant Register and Practice Field, MBChB, M Med (Pathology)
