Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Governance Officer to join our team at Avanti Schools Trust. As a key member of our governance team, you will play a critical role in supporting and managing governance processes at Board level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Agenda Management: Manage the annual meeting cycle, agenda planning, and accurate documentation of meetings to support effective decision-making.
- Governance Processes: Oversee the development and maintenance of the Governor Hub, ensuring colleagues and Trustees are proficient in its use, and advise on and manage governance processes, including the Scheme of Delegation, Trustee recruitment, and policy reviews.
- Training and Support: Provide training and induction for Trustees and SSC Members, and support the Trust's internal scrutiny and compliance functions.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and maintain high governance standards.
Requirements:
- Experience: Previous senior level experience of supporting/managing governance processes at Board level within a Multi Academy Trust or broader Education Sector.
- Skills: Senior level experience of agenda management and preparing high-quality supporting reports and minutes.
