Job Title: Senior Governance Officer

Are you a skilled governance professional looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Governance Officer to join our team at NHS Arden & GEM CSU.

About the Role:

The Senior Governance Officer will play a critical role in ensuring effective governance and decision-making within the NHS's Federated Data Platform programme. This position involves planning and managing meetings, creating briefing packs, maintaining action logs, and liaising with stakeholders to drive progress between governance meetings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Forward planning and preparation for all governance meetings, including creating briefing packs and chair briefings.
  • Manage action logs and follow up on action points between meetings to ensure progress.
  • Provide expert secretariat support, including minute-taking and distributing meeting outcomes.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and governance processes.
  • Support the development of governance strategies and maintain the Terms of Reference for key groups.
Requirements:
  • Significant experience in coordinating projects and managing governance processes.
  • Proven track record in a fast-paced environment, dealing with senior stakeholders and complex meetings.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Experience in minute-taking and maintaining accurate records of decisions and actions.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with diverse internal and external stakeholders.

  • Band 7 salary range ( £46,148 - £52,809 pa ), dependent on experience and the number of years you have worked within the NHS.
