Job Summary:

A strategic leader is sought to drive and support a vision for the Association of Academic Museums & Galleries. The Deputy Director will develop and manage administrative functions, provide direction, and implement new initiatives to ensure the effectiveness of ongoing operations.

The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with the Chief Curator and reporting to the Director, acting strategically to advance the museums' objectives as a premier collection, research, and education center.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee, direct, and manage key operations and facilities projects.
  • Collaborate with the Director's directs, including Curatorial, Academic & Public Programs, Institutional Advancement, and the Straus Center for Conservation & Technical Studies.
  • Develop and implement new initiatives to drive the museums' objectives.

Requirements:

  • Strategic leadership and management experience.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
