London, Greater London, United Kingdom Penguin Books Limited Full time

Penguin Books Limited is seeking a skilled E-commerce Operations Manager to drive the success of our digital business. This role will be responsible for managing and executing our e-commerce strategy, including marketing implementation and building our direct-to-consumer (DTC) business.

We are looking for someone who understands consumer products and can explain why some products work for certain brands, while others don't. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a customer-focused eCommerce, sales or digital trading role, and dealing with product catalogues across various marketplaces.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and constantly refreshing Amazon stores with new themes, offers, and product ranges, ensuring products are correctly merchandised.
  • Ongoing product catalogue management on Amazon, promotional planning around key consumer events, and ensuring content optimization.
  • Monthly reporting on sales and marketing campaign performance, providing detailed analysis of KPIs and profitability.
  • Working closely with the social and marketing teams to coordinate product launch and promotional campaigns and leverage marketing support within Penguin Random House to support e-comm platforms.
  • Planning, developing, and executing marketing promotional campaigns throughout the year, including on-site, email, social, and digital activities in collaboration with our agents and partners.
  • Exploring new areas of e-commerce opportunities for the business to maximise selling potential and unlock direct retailer partnerships.

The successful candidate will have experience with Amazon Media Services, particularly booking and analysing campaigns, and demonstrate ability to build Amazon store fronts and work within Amazon's advertising platform. Experience with CMS platforms, such as Shopify, would be beneficial but not required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present to different teams internally and externally, are essential.

A competitive salary of £38,000 per annum, plus bonus and benefits package, is available for this role. Our benefits include financial support, wellbeing initiatives, and lifestyle perks. We also offer hybrid working arrangements, with regular meetings and activities at our offices in Embassy Gardens.
