Job Title: Senior Occupational Therapist - Inpatient Rehabilitation Service

Location: North Cambs Hospital, Wisbech

Job Type: Full-time

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 37 hours per week

Shift Pattern: Rotating shift pattern including nights, weekends, and bank holidays

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced senior occupational therapist to join our inpatient rehabilitation service at North Cambs Hospital in Wisbech. As a senior occupational therapist, you will be responsible for leading a team of occupational therapists and assistant practitioners to deliver high-quality rehabilitation services to patients with complex and multiple pathologies.

About You:

  • Have relevant post-graduate clinical experience in a variety of settings
  • Have experience and knowledge of housing legislation, minor and major adaptations or willingness to train in this area
  • Be a clinical supervisor
  • Have community experience
  • Have equipment provision experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • To lead a team of occupational therapists and assistant practitioners to deliver high-quality rehabilitation services to patients with complex and multiple pathologies
  • To undertake holistic assessments of patients using specialist clinical reasoning skills
  • To identify patient needs, agree goals, and provide appropriate therapy interventions, provide adaptive equipment, rehabilitation programmes, and make recommendations for minor adaptations in line with current legislation
  • To be accountable for a delegated caseload held by Band 5 therapists and assistant practitioners
  • To work in various community settings within CPFT as required, completing access and home visits

Requirements:

  • Current HCPC registration
  • Documented evidence of own continuing professional development
  • Willingness to undertake fieldwork/practice educator qualification
  • Member of COT

Salary: £35,000 - £42,000 per annum
