Mental Health Crisis Accommodation Support Job

We're seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our crisis accommodation service in Redbridge. As a Crisis Accommodation Support Specialist, you'll play a vital role in providing support and guidance to customers with mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain supportive relationships with customers, promoting a positive atmosphere and encouraging their involvement in local activities.
  • Conduct holistic assessments and develop personalized support plans, incorporating relevant statutory referral information.
  • Deliver key work sessions, creating innovative and engaging experiences to achieve support plan goals.
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders to provide comprehensive support and access to relevant services.
  • Develop and maintain productive relationships with partner organizations to enhance service outcomes.
  • Embody a 'positive risk-taking' approach, ensuring ongoing assessment and management of risks associated with customers.
  • Provide support and guidance to customers in self-managing their medication regimes through individual re-enablement programs and informed decision-making.
  • Adhere to Look Ahead's policies and procedures, maintaining high levels of awareness regarding the health and safety of yourself and colleagues.

Requirements:

Essential qualifications include up to NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent, and experience supporting individuals with mental health needs. Specialist knowledge relevant to supporting people with mental health diagnoses is also required. Desirable qualifications include lived experience of mental health services in our communities.
