About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Recovery Support Specialist to join our team in Redbridge. As a Specialist Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing information, social inclusion, and vocational opportunities to support individuals in their recovery journey.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have experience in working with vulnerable adults, with a focus on mental health support. You will be responsible for building trusting relationships with customers, conducting holistic assessments, and creating personalized support plans to help them achieve their goals.

You will work closely with external stakeholders, including healthcare professionals and social services, to ensure a coordinated approach to care. Your expertise will also be valuable in developing productive relationships with partner organizations to improve service outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Building supportive relationships with customers and creating a positive atmosphere
  • Conducting regular key work sessions to achieve support plan goals
  • Creating support plans based on ongoing assessment and available resources
  • Ensuring risk management and providing access to relevant services
  • Developing individual re-enablement programs and informed decision-making skills
  • Undertaking support work in partnership with external stakeholders
  • Demonstrating strong commitment to the staff team and supporting colleagues
  • Involving customers in service design and development
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in working with vulnerable adults, particularly those with mental health needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work shift patterns, including weekends and bank holidays
  • Basic IT skills and ability to maintain accurate records
What We Offer
