Job Title: Security Supervisor

Working as part of Sodexo at University of Greenwich - Chatham, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the building, students, visitors, and colleagues in your role as Security Supervisor.

About the Role:
  • Assist the deputy and security manager to ensure that any complaints are reported and managed in a prompt and professional manner.
  • Provide a customer-focused security service to the campuses of the University of Greenwich.
  • Comply with Company, client, and statutory regulations relating to Health and Safety, fire hygiene, COSHH, and safe systems of work.
  • Act as the first point of call for visitors and contractors, issuing visitor/contractor badges while maintaining a record of those who enter and leave the main buildings.
  • Answer questions, report incidents, and handle emergencies involving employees, students, visitors, and contractors.
  • Open and secure the premises, including enabling and disabling security alarms as detailed in the Assignment Instructions.
  • Monitor CCTV screens and take appropriate action as required.
Your Qualifications:
  • SIA Licence holder (Door supervisor and CCTV).
  • 3-5 years of experience within the security industry and as a supervisor.
  • Sound knowledge of Quality Management Systems (Security).
  • Able to use computerised systems in operation within the security sector.
  • Good understanding of CCTV, fire, and security systems.
  • Knowledge and understanding of confidentiality and data protection issues.
  • Able to write accurate, legible operational logs, security reports, and statements.

Estimated salary: £64 per hour. Working hours: 4 early shifts, 4 off, 4 late/night shifts. Equated pay is available.
