About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Dietitian to join our Nutrition Support Service team at Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust.

Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Dietitian to play a vital role in supporting patients in the community who are at risk of malnutrition. The ideal candidate will have experience across a range of clinical dietetic specialties, gained in either an acute or community setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide care for patients at risk of malnutrition by liaising with patients, relatives, and carers, using a food-based approach and prescribing oral nutritional supplements in line with the North Central London (NCL) formulary.
  • Gain experience in supporting patients on home enteral tube feeding, contributing to their nutritional care.
  • Regularly interact with GP practices, hospital dietitians, pharmacists, and other community-based teams, ensuring coordinated care.
  • Contribute to various professional networks across CLCH and NCL, enhancing the quality of care provided.
  • Supervise dietetic students, assisting in their professional development and gaining valuable leadership experience.
  • Manage dietetic assistants and junior staff, further developing your leadership and management skills.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Degree/Diploma in Dietetics and Current AHP with UK HCPC registration.
  • Membership of the British Dietetics Association.
  • Experience in oral nutritional support and home enteral tube feeding.
  • An enhanced DBS check for Adults with Vulnerable Adults.

Salary

The estimated salary for this role is £43,141 - £72,172 per annum, depending on experience.
