About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Manager to join our team in the Water division. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering commercial performance of the Operating Unit, ensuring budgeted financial goals are achieved and robust risk management principles are instilled.

Your Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree and/or experience of working in a relevant commercial environment. They will also possess strong IT skills, including Excel, Word and Contractual and Cost Management Systems (CEMAR, Asite, Oracle). A track record of negotiation and final account settlement is also essential.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the commercial team with a keen attention to detail in cost control, contract/change management and an unwavering focus on maintaining a cash positive position.
  • Work closely with the Operational Leads to ensure the correct project controls are in place across all disciplines.
  • Prepare monthly commercial reports for the board within set deadlines (CVR's, Secured/Unsecured Forecast, Cash/WIP), also highlighting any issues/risks.
  • Take responsibility for achieving business targets including cash, profit, return on capital and sales.

Galliford Try offers a competitive salary of £80,000 - £100,000 per annum, depending on experience.
