Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Group Sales and Events Director to join our team at AccorHotel. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving Groups & MICE sales and delivering exceptional client-focused service that meets business revenue objectives.

This role requires a proactive sales approach, adaptability, and the ability to develop flexible sales strategies in response to local market conditions. You will oversee the Event Planning function, ensuring successful hotel events, and work closely with relevant hotel departments and clients to deliver seamless and consistent high-level service throughout the sales & event cycle.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Developing a flexible sales strategy to drive Groups & MICE sales and achieve hotel budget commitments
  • Overseeing the Event Planning function and related staff to ensure planning and delivery of successful hotel events
  • Ensuring products and services meet or exceed guest expectations and build customer loyalty through product and service excellence
  • Taking a proactive sales approach and adapting sales solutions to meet client needs and expectations
  • Managing daily operations of Event Planning to achieve or exceed budget expectations, monitoring wages and expenses, and making ongoing adjustments as needed
  • Ensuring efficient management of enquiries, turn-downs, and lost business to create future pipeline and repeat business

The ideal candidate will have relevant sales experience, strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills (written and verbal), and the ability to focus attention on guest needs while remaining calm and courteous at all times.

A competitive salary is offered, estimated to be around $65,000 per annum based on industry standards and location.
