Job Description

This role is an exciting opportunity to work with our client based in Sunderland, addressing gambling-related harm in the North East region. The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating referrals, providing advice and guidance, and delivering training packages to educate communities on identifying harm and signposting to support services.

The ideal candidate will have experience in providing support and interventions, knowledge and understanding of issues related to gambling, and strong communication skills to engage with communities and stakeholders. They will also be proficient in developing and maintaining referral pathways and community networks, and knowledgeable about safeguarding policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Foster relationships with key stakeholders to promote the service and address gambling-related harm
  2. Develop and maintain referral pathways and community networks to ensure effective delivery of support services
  3. Provide advice and guidance on gambling-related issues to individuals and communities
  4. Deliver training packages to educate communities on identifying harm and signposting to support services
  5. Promote community activities and arrange networking events to raise awareness about gambling-related harm

Salary: £27,864 per annum (based on 35 hours per week) + opportunities for professional development and training, supportive working environment, and participation in a vital service that makes a real difference in the community
