Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as a Community Engagement Specialist. This role involves facilitating referrals, providing advice and guidance on gambling-related issues, and delivering training packages to educate communities on identifying harm and signposting to support services.

The successful candidate will engage key stakeholders, publicize the service, and develop a network of community champions to address gambling-related harm. Promoting community activities, arranging networking events, and disseminating information resources are also key aspects of this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate referrals and provide advice and guidance on gambling-related issues
  • Deliver training packages to educate communities on identifying harm and signposting to support services
  • Engage key stakeholders and publicize the service through regular communication and meetings
  • Develop a network of community champions to address gambling-related harm
  • Promote community activities, arrange networking events, and disseminate information resources

Requirements:

  • Experience in providing support and interventions
  • Knowledge and understanding of issues related to gambling and appropriate interventions
  • Strong ability to engage and educate communities and stakeholders
  • Proficient in developing and maintaining referral pathways and community networks
  • Knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures
