Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Physiotherapist to join our Therapies Team at University Hospital of North Midlands. The successful candidate will have a strong background in respiratory physiotherapy and experience working in an acute setting. The role will involve working within respiratory rotations, including Critical Care, Surgical Wards, and Emergency Therapy Team.

Main Duties of the Job
  • Provide high-quality physiotherapy services to patients with respiratory conditions, including cystic fibrosis and non-invasive ventilation.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Conduct assessments and interventions to improve patient outcomes and quality of life.
  • Supervise and mentor junior physiotherapists and students.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures.

Person Specification
  • Registered Physiotherapist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Minimum of 18 months' experience as a physiotherapist in an acute setting.
  • Experience working with patients with respiratory conditions, including cystic fibrosis and non-invasive ventilation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
