Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our Market Abuse Trade Surveillance team at Lorien. The successful candidate will support technical client projects and contribute to internal business development, thought leadership, and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support clients in delivering engagements and provide guidance on trade surveillance and market abuse controls.
  • Maintain awareness of the latest trends, cases, and developments in market abuse.
  • Develop as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and manage junior team members.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • In-depth understanding of trading businesses and market abuse risks within sell-side investment banks.
  • Familiarity with financial products, including cash and derivatives, and their manifestation in market abuse risks.
  • Experience in Compliance Surveillance or related fields, with a focus on trade surveillance systems implementation or build.
  • Awareness of model validation for trade surveillance models and data quality for Surveillance.
  • Understanding of the trade surveillance vendor landscape and its various solutions.
  • Candidates with strong communication, planning, project management, networking, and influencing skills are preferred.

Salary Estimate: £80,000 - £120,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
