Job Title: Assistant Campus Manager

Job Summary:

The Assistant Campus Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the operational requirements of one of Regent College London's campuses are met, aligning with the institution's objectives to deliver an exceptional student and staff experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Act as an active presence at a specific campus to support front-facing staff in day-to-day operations.
  2. Oversee and supervise Campus Liaison Officers, reporting to the Head of Campus Operations regarding their absence and shifts.
  3. Ensure the campus maintains the required standards of cleanliness, working closely with the cleaning team.
  4. Conduct campus-related activities such as fire drills, regular health and safety checks, updating the accident/incident book, printing registers and day views, initiating purchase orders, stock checks, and maintenance, as well as classroom setup, which may involve moving furniture.
  5. Collaborate with other Assistant Campus Managers, the Head of Campus Operations, and the Facilities team to ensure effective compliance with legislation, including health and safety.
  6. Ensure the upkeep of the campus, maintaining professional standards while representing Regent College London as a brand, understanding and promoting the institution's strategy and policy.
  7. Coordinate IT-related issues and activities with respective teams.
  8. Oversee the closing and opening of the campus, including daily site inspections and proactive steps to resolve matters without escalation.
  9. Manage and produce the Campus Liaison Officer (CLO) roster for the campus on a weekly basis.
  10. Introduce all staff to the First Aiders and Fire Marshalls of the campus.
  11. Play an active role in student engagement activities and events, including Induction, Freshers' Fair, and Graduation.
  12. Serve as a single point of contact to coordinate with the Facilities Team to ensure all works are carried out to an acceptable and functional level, including overseeing visits from contractors.
  13. Assist Campus Liaison Officers in ensuring students and staff are fully informed about their classrooms and changes, ensuring classrooms are fit for purpose and well-equipped for class delivery.
  14. Oversee the administration and teaching delivery at Regent College London campuses, working in partnership with other services to ensure service delivery takes place as planned.
  15. Ensure daily, weekly, and monthly checks are carried out, as instructed by management and sent to the Health & Safety team.
  16. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in processes and procedures at Regent College London campuses.
  17. Deputise for specific issues, as and where appropriate, for the Chief Operating Officer and Head of Campus Operations.
  18. Be flexible to cover other campuses as and when required.

Personal Specification:

The ideal candidate will have broad-based experience in operational management within a complex organisation, with experience in a Further Education or Higher Education setting. They will possess demonstrable experience in improving customer service levels, basic health and safety knowledge, and a NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent qualification. The candidate should be able to deal effectively and sensitively with a range of people over practical issues, have line management experience, and excellent IT skills with experience of MS packages. A degree standard or equivalent education is required, along with good organisational and time management skills.
