Job Description

Head of Data Engineering

This UK-based Insurance start-up is seeking a seasoned professional to lead their Data function. As the Head of Data Engineering, you will be responsible for managing the team and developing the Data strategy.

The company specializes in the commercial insurance space, focusing on large insurance deals. They have recently received significant funding and are developing their data function to accommodate the increase in clients.

You will be joining a new and exciting Data Team. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the entire data strategy across the business
  • Leading a multiskilled team
  • Developing and implementing data platforms
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business growth

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience running a multiskilled team
  • Strong coding experience using Python
  • Commercial experience owning the Data strategy and Platform at a large company
